Engine
Designed specifically for medium duty trucks, the Isuzu 6HK1-TC
overhead cam, in-line six-cylinder diesel engine is a proven performer.
Features include replaceable cylinder liners, nitrided heat-treated
crankshaft, internal oil cooling channels for pistons and an oil
life monitoring system. Available horsepower choices range from
200 to 300 HP with 520 to 860 lb-ft of torque.
Allison
Transmission
The Isuzu H-Series offers a complete line of electronically controlled
Allison 2400, 2500, 3000 and 3500 Series automatic transmissions
feauring a range of 550 to 1,100 lb. ft. gross torque. To meet the
exact demands of your application, transmissions are offered in
a choice of Highway Series and Rugged Duty Series (for on/off highway
use). Synthetic fluid is available.
Allison 2400 Series models up to 25,950* lbs GVWR
feature a parking pawl. All models are avaiable with optional power
take-off capability.

Cowl-Mounted
Mirrors
H-Series trucks offer 126 sq. in. of mirror surface, including a
6x7 in. convex section on both sides. Mirrors are cowl-mounted to
minimize vibration. Available with standard manual adjustment and
options for heated, lighted, and power-assisted operation. For the
inevitable tight squeezes, both driver and passenger side mirrors
fold inward 90 degrees to be flush with the body.

Productive Interior
H-Series trucks offer something not usually found in Class 6, 7
and 8 trucks: driver and passenger air bags.* H-Series trucks also
offer a choice of radios, seat trim, power door locks and power
windows.
Wide
Range of Seating Options
A range of seating options is available. Driver bucket and air suspension
seats are available. Passenger seats include single bucket, air
seat and two person seating. A center console with cupholder and
cigarette lighter is available.

H-Series trucks are designed for easy and secure entry and exit
thanks to nonslip, well-spaced steps.

4-Channel
ABS Antilock Braking System
The H-Series' 4-wheel antilock braking system is engineered to provide
added performance and a light duty feel. It works to maintain steering
control and enhance stopping performance during hard braking situations,
even when towing or hauling a heavy load. Hydraulic 4-piston brakes
are standard on the HTR/HVR. Air brakes are available on HVR models
and standard on HXR models.

Degree Wheelcut and Set-Back Axle
A set-back front axle and a tight 53 degree wheelcut allow H-Series
trucks to turn in a tighter circle than most full-size pickups and
some midsize cars. The extra maneuverability helps to enhance safety
and increase efficiency throughout the day's schedule.
